  7. This is the main help screen for the BETARPT program. The 
  8. valid selections are highlighted.

  21. By making any one of the above selection you will be 
  22. transferred to that section. Once transferred a status line 
  23. is provide to offer simply instructions.
  24.  
  25. The information below provides a brief explanation of each 
  26. of the areas within the BETARPT program.
  27.  
  28.    a. By pressing the 'F2' key you are asked to provide bug 
  29. information about the application you are presently testing. 
  30. You are asked to be very specific so we may use this 
  31. information to attempt to reproduce the bug.
  32.  
  33.    b. The 'F3' key will gain useful information about the 
  34. system you are using to test the beta application. Please 
  35. fill out all lines as accurately as possible.
  36.  
  37.    c. To describe the bug problem press 'F4'. Please be 
  38. in-depth while being brief.
  39.  
  40.    d. The 'F5' key is used to tell us what actions you took 
  41. to attempt to correct the noted bug. This includes but is not 
  42. limited to removing the AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files.
  43.  
  44.    e. A DOS shell is provided by pressing the 'F6' key.
  45.  
  46.    f. The 'F7' is provided so you may included specific 
  47. recommendations for future releases of the product.
  48.  
  49.    g. The 'F8' key will ask for specific information about a 
  50. certain application you are testing. This may or may not be 
  51. used depending upon the needs of the developer.
  52.  
  53.    h. Pressing 'F9' will save all current files and exit to 
  54. DOS. This is useful when you wish to research a particular 
  55. bug more thoroughly and do not wish to create a new bug 
  56. report.
  57.  
  58.    i. To create a report press the 'F10' key. Once you have 
  59. created a report, the Beta Report program will create a file 
  60. called BETA.RPT. The BETA.RPT file will contain both the 
  61. report that you just created and the status of your machine 
  62. at the time you wrote the report. This is the file that we 
  63. need to have uploaded to us. Once you have written your 
  64. second report, the report program will rename your first 
  65. report to BETA.1. The same situation will happen for your 
  66. third report, where BETA.RPT will be renamed to BETA.2, etc. 
  67. The most current report will always be named BETA.RPT.
